Wiccopee, NY - Saturday, June 3, 2006 The annual Department Inspection and Clam Bake were held at the Monte Rosa Restaurant. Although the weather did not fully cooperate, the Brothers and their families enjoyed a day of recognition and camaraderie. Also, joining us for the event were several mutual aid company representatives, a FASNY representative, officials from the Village of Fishkill, and other close friends of the Department.

The Program started with a welcome from President Jeff Lucariello followed by the introduction of guests by Chief Dean Scofield.

Several recognition awards were presented during the program: Ex-Chief Donald Williams Sr. was recognized for 50 years of active service and Ex-Chief Fred Nameth Sr. was recognized for 50 years of service. Ex-Chief Glenn Scofield Jr. and Ex-Chief Donald Williams Jr. were recognized for 25 years of active service and Robert Mahone Jr. was recognized for 25 years of service.

During the 50 Year Service Award ceremony Donald Williams Sr. was presented with his Service Award by his son, Donald Jr. while other family members looking on; and the 50 Year Service Award for Fred Nameth Sr. was accepted for him by his son Gary and was presented by Bud Scofield, a lifelong friend. Members Todd Brinkerhoff, Joseph Yellen and William Partridge who attained their 50 Year Service Awards last year were also recognized. The 25 Year Service Award ceremony included; Glenn Scofield Jr. being presented with his Service Award by his father, Glenn Sr. while other family members looked on including his brother, Dean Scofield, Chief of the Department; and Donald Williams Jr. was presented his Service Award by his father, 50 Year member Donald Sr. while his family members looked on. Robert Mahone Jr. was unable to attend.

Co-Chairman, G. Scofield Jr. ended the Award ceremony with a moment of silence for the Brothers that have passed away over the last year.

This year’s event was co-chaired by; President J. Lucariello, Chief D. Scofield and Deputy Chief G. Scofield Jr.

Another fine job this year!.
