Apple Greens, New Paltz, NY

New Paltz, NY – October 2, 2006 The fifth Annual Protection Engine Company # 1 Golf Outing was held at the Apple Greens Golf Club under a beautiful bright sun and cool temperatures.. The event started with a “shotgun” start at 9 AM using the scramble format. As the players made their way around the course; Kevin Kilkenny, Kevin O’Brien, Pete Phillips and Don Williams Jr. traveled from hole to hole making sure all players had refreshments. Ken Scofield manned the “casino hole” for the event and cheered on the players as they found their way to that hole from the snack bar.

After everyone completed their round of Golf we headed back south to Greenbaum & Gilhooley’s restaurant in Wappingers Falls for dinner and award presentations. Awards were presented for closest to the pin, longest drive, and first and second place for low scoring teams.

Many thanks to Keith Scofield the event Chairman and all the volunteers that worked to make this a very enjoyable day; all the local merchants that sponsored holes and donated products and services for the raffle and to all the players for their continued support.
