The late Milt Wolfe was an enthusiastic life member of Protection Engine Company No. 1 in the Village of Fishkill. His support and enthusiasm for the volunteer fire service was always in evidence. Milt serve actively in several capacities including line and civil offices and as a Fire Policeman. His enthusiasm continued with his late son, George, who rose through the ranks to become Chief of the Department and on to his grandson, Richard “Radar” Wolfe who has served as a chief officer. The scholarship award was named in Milt’s honor shortly after his passing in 1979. It has been awarded to a deserving student every year an application was rendered since then.
The governing board of the Fishkill Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association shall make the ultimate determination of the winner of this scholarship. The winner of the scholarship is to attend a formal presentation of the award for administrative and photographic opportunity purposes as established by the governing board.
