The late Milt Wolfe was an enthusiastic life member of Protection Engine Company No. 1 in the Village
of Fishkill. His support and enthusiasm for the volunteer fire service was always in evidence. Milt
serve actively in several capacities including line and civil offices and as a Fire Policeman. His enthusiasm
continued with his late son, George, who rose through the ranks to become Chief of the Department
and on to his grandson, Richard “Radar” Wolfe who has served as a chief officer. The scholarship
award was named in Milt’s honor shortly after his passing in 1979. It has been awarded to a deserving
student every year an application was rendered since then.
Eligibility
A student of the John Jay High School (WCS).
Be committed to continuing your education after graduation from high school.
Be a member of a Fire Department or EMS Service. (or number 4 below)
Be a son, daughter, or ward of a member of a Fire Department or EMS Service in the area served by
John Jay High School.
Must NOT have a record of repetitive violations of the schools attendance policy, disciplinary actions
or substance abuse.
Application must be received by the Fishkill Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association by May 15th of the year in which scholarship will be awarded.
Selection Process
The governing board of the Fishkill Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association shall make the ultimate
determination of the winner of this scholarship. The winner of the scholarship is to attend a formal
presentation of the award for administrative and photographic opportunity purposes as established by
the governing board.
Fishkill Little League Team Sponsored by Protection Engine Company
For over 25 years, Protection Engine Company has supported the Fishkill Little League by sponsoring a team. The Company has sponsored, boy’s Senior League Teams, boy’s Little League Teams and for the last few years proudly sponsored a girl’s Softball Team. Best of luck for a great season!!!
